Before You Submit

Essential checks to complete before starting the submission process.

Manuscript Readiness Checklist

• Manuscript follows APA 7th edition formatting guidelines
• All authors have reviewed and approved the final version
• Manuscript has been proofread for grammar and spelling errors
• References are complete, current, and correctly formatted
• Figures and tables are properly labeled and referenced in text
• Word count is within journal limits (see specific article type)
• Abstract is 250 words maximum and clearly summarizes the study
• Keywords (4-6) are provided and relevant to the content

Ethical Requirements

• Original work not previously published or under consideration elsewhere
• All authors have made substantial contributions to the research
• Conflicts of interest are disclosed in a separate statement
• Ethical approval obtained for studies involving human/animal subjects
• Informed consent obtained where required
• Data availability statement included
• Copyright permissions obtained for reproduced materials
• Plagiarism check completed (we will verify with iThenticate)

File Preparation

• Prepare two versions of your manuscript:
    - Complete version with author information
    - Anonymous version for peer review (remove author names, affiliations, acknowledgments)
• Save files in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or LaTeX format
• Figures should be in high-resolution JPEG, TIFF, or PNG format
• Tables should be editable (Word or Excel format)
• Supplementary materials prepared if applicable
• Cover letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief
• Author agreement form completed and signed

Online Submission Process

Step-by-step instructions for submitting through our OJS platform.

Step 1: Account Registration/Login

• New users: Click "Register" on the journal homepage
• Complete all required fields in the registration form
• Use institutional email address when possible
• Verify your email address through the confirmation link
• Returning users: Login with your username and password
• Update your profile information if needed (affiliation, ORCID)
• Ensure your contact information is current

Step 2: Start New Submission

• From your user dashboard, click "New Submission"
• Select the appropriate section for your manuscript:
    - Research Article
    - Review Article
    - Case Study
    - Short Communication
• Read and accept the submission checklist
• Confirm compliance with ethical guidelines
• Agree to copyright and licensing terms
• Click "Save and Continue" to proceed

Step 3: Upload Submission Files

• Upload the anonymous manuscript file (for peer review)
• Upload separate files for:
    - Cover letter
    - Figures (high resolution)
    - Tables (editable format)
    - Supplementary materials
    - Author agreement form
• Ensure file names are clear and descriptive
• Check that all files uploaded successfully
• Preview files to confirm correct versions uploaded
• Designate file types correctly (main document, supplementary, etc.)

Step 4: Enter Submission Metadata

• Title: Concise and descriptive (avoid abbreviations)
• Abstract: Paste abstract text (250 words maximum)
• Keywords: Enter 4-6 relevant keywords separated by commas
• Authors: Add all authors in correct order with:
    - Full names
    - Institutional affiliations
    - Email addresses
    - ORCID iDs (if available)
• Corresponding author: Designate one author for correspondence
• Funding information: List all funding sources
• References: Optional to paste reference list for verification
• Complete all required fields (marked with asterisk *)

Step 5: Confirmation and Completion

• Review all entered information carefully
• Preview the submission summary
• Make any necessary corrections
• Click "Finish Submission" to complete the process
• Record your manuscript ID number
• You will receive an email confirmation with submission details
• The manuscript will now appear in your submissions dashboard
• You can track the review status through your account

Important: Do not submit the same manuscript more than once. Contact the editorial office if you encounter technical issues.

After Submission

What to expect following submission and how to track your manuscript.

Initial Processing (1-2 Weeks)

• Editorial office checks for completeness and formatting
• Plagiarism screening with iThenticate software
• Initial assessment for scope and relevance to journal
• Assignment to an Editor-in-Chief or Section Editor
• You may receive requests for missing information
• Desk rejection may occur if manuscript doesn't meet basic criteria
• Status updates available through your submission dashboard
• Contact editorial office if you don't receive acknowledgment within 5 days

Peer Review Stage (4-8 Weeks)

• Manuscript sent to 2-3 independent peer reviewers
• Double-blind review process (anonymous authors and reviewers)
• Reviewers evaluate scientific quality, methodology, and significance
• You will be notified when review process begins
• Status in dashboard will change to "Under Review"
• No further communication unless additional information needed
• Review timeline may vary based on reviewer availability
• You can request status update after 8 weeks if no communication

Editorial Decision and Next Steps

• Editor makes decision based on reviewer recommendations
• Possible decisions:
    - Accept without revision (rare)
    - Minor revisions (return within 2 weeks)
    - Major revisions (return within 4 weeks)
    - Reject (with or without encouragement to resubmit)
• You will receive decision email with reviewer comments
• For revisions: Submit revised manuscript through same submission ID
• Include point-by-point response to reviewers
• Highlight changes in the revised document
• Revised manuscripts may be sent back to reviewers
